Due to jump at 3.45pm at the Ascot Racecourse this Saturday will be the $250,000 Group 3 Western Australian Oaks (2400m), and headlines the states illustrious Western Australian Oaks Day.

Taking place as the sixth of eight great races, the Group 2 WA Oaks will see eight three-year-old fillies compete over the 2,400 metres for a share in the prize money up for grabs.

Currently dominating the odds for the 2010 WA Oaks is Impressive Jeuney at $1.90.

Having won the Natasha Stakes (2200m) recently, the Ascot-based filly is familiar with the track and starting from barrier three could be dangerous.

For Your Eyes Only is the only other dominant threat for Saturday’s race at $3.80. Having won the 1,000 Guineas (1800m) at Ascot in March, the filly is a strong contender and will be starting on the shoulder of Impressive Jeuney.

Rounding out the top three odds for the 2010 WA Oaks is Tropical Fury at $6. Finishing as runner up to Impressive Jeuney in the Natasha Stakes, the three-year-old will be looking to seek revenge and finish ahead on Saturday.

Also taking place on Saturday at the Ascot Racecourse will be the Group 2 Karrakatta Plate (1200m).
